To be fair, it probably has a lot to do with the fact that most people are doing things in the last two years the prevent flu spread that they've never done before during flu season. Things like wearing masks, washing and sanitizing your hands, standing farther apart, staying home if they weren't feeling well, not traveling, etc.

How is the FAA allowing this vaccine for pilots considering the side effects…which I think are more harmful to ones ability to maintain a class I? |

This is why some people still believe the vaccine makes them immune to COVID. They simply can’t keep up.
The discussion involved a study specifically about people who had COVID once and then got it a second time. Zero died. Conversely, Merle Haggard said 1.3% of COVID deaths are people who were vaccinated. That is great for the folks who survived the first round..not so good for the folks that didn’t…hopefully the goal is to prevent deaths the first round. |
It should be mandated by FedEx so I can move up a dozen or so slots in seniority.

Get ready for all the super neato internet scientist "Research" articles... The bottom line is that that consequences for the "Personal Decisions" are coming. Your body. Your choice. Your consequences.
That would be great if everyone had that mindset. But unfortunately we have some that are more on the authoritarian side of the spectrum.

I will probably get the shingles vaccine this year if that makes vaccine people happy. How do you reconcile this with your COVID vaccine stance, specifically the risks of disease versus the risk of not being vaccinated?

Do people actually know if they are allergic before taking the vaccine? How many are allergic that are in the high risk category? How much liberty should by taken from everyone for this amount of people?

That leaves 98.7% of deaths in the unvaccinated. So if you haven’t already had either the vaccine or a case of COVID, how is it sensible for the company, the country, your family or your life and/or health insurer to support being unvaxxed?
It’s sensible because people should have the freedom to decide what to put in their bodies and take risks they are willing to take.

I’m just ready for the Fox News watching boomer captains to put their money where their mouth is and retire already once it’s mandatory.

By this logic, why should any of those entities support any people with the comorbidites that are the actual underlying causes of death for most of these fatal COVID cases, vaccinated or not?
