They have more money because they took in a whole lot more dues.

Show me any historical projection from the last five years that shows your assertion. Please.

You should also ask to see is where the money is going. Start with FPL and get back to us.

Obviously they have kept FPL in check if they are that far ahead on savings.

No doubt. They've done a good job with the money - of course a lot of that was due to COVID making all meetings remote and severely restricting the ability of committees to use money. The problem here is though we aren't a bank - we save to use money during negotiating and we should be using that money now. Money alone only provides the ability to hire extra people or keep your team in negotiations on full time FPL for a long time - it doesn't really help elsewhere. I'd like to see us use that money - that's what it's for. It'd be one thing if we were doing a lot but it appears like we are doing very little.

On of the Officers mentioned a dues refund being possible at the end of negotiations on a pub call a few months ago.

I bet as we approach the 1 year goal date you will see spending increase for things such as media publishing and picketing, etc.

Oh, and if you don't want to buy it, you get fired.

Feel free to go work at a non-union carrier and see how your QOL, pay, benefits, etc. compare.

We don not know our ask,

The MEC is still failing to lead.

The new officers have not posted any message about who they are and their direction forward.

SPSC's page on the FDX MEC's website is a joke. Especially during contract negotiations, did this sneak up on them?

Those who are happy with the current contract are still happy.

Those who are not happy are still apathetic for the most part.

Those who say they are a "no vote" still won't show up for the most part and demand their reps do their job or replace them with some one who will do the job.

What we have here is the definition of insanity. Some are happy, some are not, some are failing to lead and the vast majority don't care enough yet to do anything about it except complain on the crewbus.

The clock continues to tick, and May is just two bid cycles away. Do something or not, either way it's just around the corner and we only have ourselves to blame.

We will get the contract we deserve, eventually.

You should run for office...

DING DING DING… We have a winner! Bunch of ungrateful crybabies. In my opinion our union has done a good job. Proof is our pay, work rules and benefits compared to the rest of the industry. I find it comical to see a lot of these complainers and yet they don’t volunteer a single hour to do anything except for get on social media and complain.

From his previous post I think he has tried and lost numerous times.

What’s so obvious about that? Have you asked how much FPL has been paid?

The budget is posted on the FDX ALPA website. Yes I have looked at it. They have done a great job keeping cost in check and Covid helped save a lot of FPL travel expenses due to Covid travel and restrictions. Go look for yourself its on the homepage

I love it when the Union bashers on this board finally show their true colors. It’s all about the dues for these cheap a&*#! It kills them!!

It’s guys like you why there’s a system that requires paying your fair share. Before our 2006 contract we had free loaders who got all of the contract benefits on the backs of all the dues paying members. Didn’t pay a dime!!

Now, these tightwads bi*+% and moan about having to contribute to support the team.

Here’s a news flash - they can quit the Union. There is no requirement to be a member. You can then pay less dues in the form of a maintenance fee!!!

You should consider it- put your money where you mouth is big guy.
