Does it help us or hurt us when guys flex screenshots of their obscenely large paychecks on Instagram?

I wouldn’t doubt that some are actually that stupid. There was a Piedmont guy/influencer who actually trashed the UAL 777 single engine crew on YouTube. Daddy just got him hired at AA while other more qualified candidates still are waiting.

Starting to see more of that influencer vibe from some of the new hires here. There's a time and a place for all that. At work isn't it. I believe we had a new hire recently that was filmed getting a cannon spray before leaving a regional......

As usual with such things, your instincts to hate on the new guys are wrong. The offending individual in this case is a senior 777 captain.

That would be correct. He’s former PSA, Embry-Riddle rat. The guy legitimately had the flight delayed for a spray down, then announced to the passengers about his newest endeavor. I’m sure the passengers gave a **** and weren’t concerned one bit about making their connections.

I wouldn’t be too concerned. They’re popping up everywhere now. We have our fair share at UAL.

Incorrect. I'm aware of that CA. I'm talking about a new hire. Don't act like this is something that's new. It will have to be addressed in a professional manner as we welcome a total of four separate generations to the FedEx flight decks.

I want to go on record as saying this was not me. Anyone who posts their paycheck in a public forum is not thinking straight. Not a good idea. In fact, a really bad idea for lots of reasons, including making the rest of us look bad to our peers and outsiders.

I'd say it definitely helps the company recruit pilots. Who wouldn't want to fly with a guy like that? Must be the most humble dude ever. The paychecks are only an added bonus right?

Hurts the pilot group for sure though, and makes us all look awful.

The newhire influencers aren't a good look either.
