Default Jumpseating with a dog?

Is it possible to jumpseat on FDX with a dog in a crate? Asking for a friend.

I've never seen it done, but it does not hurt to ask. Call Jumpseats and ask.

Or, call your flight manager and ask.

I remember, before 9-11, jump seating to Iowa to go pheasant hunting, with a shotgun, placed in the belly of the 727, of course.

A very long time ago we had a 72 "Plumber" (now long retired) take his old lab with him on one out and back. Today,...not so much.

I have had my emotional support porcupine for years. Not as tough as my seeing eye lion. FO seem to do a double take with him.

Fedex isn't a passenger airline. You can bring your wife in a crate no problem, no dog. You really had to ask this question? So when you greet the crew and ask the Captain's permission to jumspeat, do you ask for the dog to go along too?

All you need to do is read the Jumpseat Certification Guide. No pets.
