Default BZ to the AUS 767 Crew

I have been reading a lot about the AUS near collision. There are several YouTube videos as well. The tower controller made a serious mistake and it could have cost not only the lives of our guys, but also an entire SWA 737 full of pax.

I just wanted to say BZ to the guys on that 767 crew, whoever they are. I think they should be put in for some sort of safety award.

Well done to the 767 crew, well done indeed.

I am sure the MD-11 bird strike crew did a great job as well, perhaps two safety awards?

Let's all be careful out there.

They will get the honor of continued paychecks, that may or may not be on time.

Sarcasm aside, fantastic jobs all around.

Nice job, guys and or gals.

One of many reasons why we deserve respect at the negotiating table, instead of atta-boy emails!

I hope the crew refuses to be exploited by the company in way of positive publicity until the company comes to the table with a serious offer!!

Very nice job guys!

Analogous to our negotiations, I can already see that the SWA plane is TA23. Let's hit TOGA on it while telling it to abort, perfect. Phrase from our great Union Rep who firmly held the line against the '15 Sales Job - even though the NC never let her have the mic (nor any of the dissenters) at the Road Shows. Which makes our Union the Tower Controller.

Again, great job. Just saw the story on CNN, the reporter praising the fdx crew, saying how they saved over a hundred lives.

ALPA should get these guys on the program, in front of a national audience, where after all the rah rah hoopla, the crew can mention how they not only saved those lives, but also thousands during the covid pandemic delivering the vaccine at the risk of infection, how fdx pilots kept the mail running while everyone else was tucked away safely at home, that we kept commerce running, all while fdx was making record profits, and yet fdx management refuses to pay us what has become industry standard, how our pay has been stagnant for over two years and would soon be well over 20% less than our colleagues at other airlines, that our retirement has been stagnant since 1999, and that because of all this, we are facing a strike vote, and that perhaps the viewing audience should look at alternatives in shipping.

mic drop! next stop, fox news!

I’ll email my rep this idea tomorrow. hoping others do the same.

No, no, no, you guys have it all wrong...We're going to incorporate unmanned airplanes into the cargo operations first, because...
Oh, wait...looks like we need actual pilots on the cargo planes as well.

Not bad for a couple former commercial pilots!
