MMB meeting

Just released. The NMB will have a meeting with us on the 20th of August. That means that the Cutler cabal has cost us at least 169 days of no negotiations.

If true, we will end up in arbitration and years before we see any contract. This is a classic JD tactic he learned at Atlas. Ask the Atlas guys how many of their contracts they have voted on. I have been saying this was the plan when I learned they hired him. If our union leadership at the time understood the industry and not just the corners of Germantown they would have been able to push that narrative while the vote for TA1.0 was open. We are F@&?ED.

Me too. Buy another carrier and rope-a-dope in the federal courts. It'll save Fedex billions.

Just a small correction; the NMB meeting with the Union is 21 August

What’s our CBA say about arbitration?

One thing is absolutely for sure. You will never end up in arbitration. From within mediation, it is either an agreement or self help. Sure, the Union may be offered arbitration, but I have never seen one accept it as you put your fate in the hands of one person (the arbitrator), which is beyond crazy.
