This is not the company we used to work for. Think Delta in the nineties.

I am curious what this means? (nothing negative, just curious-- honestly I am unfamiliar)

If FedEx retains all of the postal contract won't that mean more hiring than just 8 every other month?

So, me thinks that

March - 8
May - 8
July - 8
Sept - 8
Nov - 8
Dec - None - END OF YEAR

40 bodies total. Out of 7000 resumes = .006 % of paper on file will get hired

pilot shortage soon !

I am amazed no one has corrected this stat! 40/7000 is .6%, not .006%. Good thing math skills are no longer tested in the interview process...

Others more informed please chime in but I'm not sure the retention of the USPS contract would create an increase in hiring. I believe we are staffed to handle the contract now and are currently hiring for net 757 airframes and attrition. Again, no insider info...just a line dawg.

yes thank god

with that said, less than 1% of apps on file will get hired. BUT as Albie said, you can't win if you don't apply. I am merely poking humor at the hiring situation. FedEx is clearly a secure, sought after company, and with good reason. Good luck to all who apply.
