It would be in your best interest to start preparing now. EC has some online audio that'll get you started and partially spooled up, preparation wise.
Then when the interview at FedEx, or wherever, happens, you'll be ahead of the game and not scrambling to get prepared.

Doesn't interview prep have a shelf life? I wouldn't want to prep this month, and then forget all the lessons learned when I don't get an interview this year(or the next year the way things are looking :D) . How do they work this issue at ECI? Do they offer some kind of refresher training when you actually get an interview? The website says accounts expire.

FedEx Interviews and Class Dates

EC told me there is no expiration. You can listen to the tapes over and over. A lot of it is obvious stuff but some I thought was very helpful. And I understand you can do the mock interviews with feedback as many times as you want. I am very impressed with them so far. Very professional and attentive.

Honest question. When you go to one of these conferences what's the interaction with the FedEx folks like? I'm down to do whatever to increase my chances but as a white guy I feel I'd come across as a douchebag. Any thoughts?

Actually, the opposite is true. There were quite a few men at WAI and quite a few white guys at OBAP. The general turnout was lower overall at OBAP. I think they like the fact that you support the organization, no matter your sex or race. It was nice to be able to chat with the folks for an extended period of time. I wasn't alone in the fact that there were plenty of others who looked like me.

I think those went out of business.

Heard a rumor that there is a pass board soon or it just happened? Also, what ever became of the bid?

FDXLAG 06-11-2012 05:48 PM

Bid closes tomorrow; winners, losers and open slots should be available at 17:00 or so.

New additions to the seniority list as of today. 20 names added, so I assume a class started yesterday. Also, training letter not available, so it must be getting revised with the new hires added.

I think they usually take the training letter away when a bid closes because it will change as a result of the bid.
