This question will be a long shot and of course get many different answers, but for people that have been success with FedEx, is it better to get Jet time or stay on a prop building turbine pic time?

I’d say get the 1,000 TPIC and then add another eye catching experience item like International Heavy time at somewhere like Atlas.

You’ll have to do something to set yourself apart from the numerous others that possess thousands of TPIC.

TPIC time and some other area of responsibility as a check airmen, instructor, recruiter, safety department, or manager.

I was hired with turbine PIC on both turbo-props and jets. Not sure if it matters what type your PIC comes from - but LCA/instructor time seems to help a lot.

Path to Fedex

I haven't heard of FedEx hiring many retiring military types lately and based on some recent posts, it looks like that is a common theme.

I've spent the last 20 years flying heavy transport aircraft... Just wondering if getting time at a major pax carrier or time at Atlas, etc is more attractive to FedEx? Thanks!
