Default FDX VTO questions

Hello, all. I haven't had a VTO line for a several years now and I got one this month. (Upgraded and am somewhat junior again). If you would't mind, could you guys answer a couple of questions:

1. I have recurrent training this month and have also elected to protect Min days off. Will my training events be considered working on days on or off for purposes of BLG calculation and min day protection?

2. When the lines are built, do they take all the first VTO holder's requests into consideration;build him a line and then move on to the next? Or do they take his first request into consideration; move on tothe next and consider their number one choice and so on? (Sort of like an NFL draft)

3. Also, I know for a fact that there are trips that are open that are not listed. Are they withholding that from the VTO build?
Thanks.

Your training days will count as work days. So, your secondary line will still have to have 13 days off once the training and flying are built into it.

Secondary lines are built to completion in order. #1 gets his line completely built before they build the one for #2 and so on.

Don't worry. You should have no problem drafting the seabass, murray and carr. Amari Cooper might be a stretch on a vto line.

You have been away from this for awhile.

In answer to question two: Maybe, maybe not. Sometimes, sometimes not. No recourse, no tracking, and no consequences for the builder.

Good luck. And, oh yeah, no contract language to control it.

So, a Khalil Mack is asking for too much from a VTO?

An IDP league is another discussion.

On another note, I love being in a league with raider's fans. Let me know if you have an opening.

Exactly. You nailed that one.

Sometimes you get exactly what you should, based upon seniority (and what's left after the view/add window is processed), and sometimes junior VTO holders get what you have requested. And occasionally, they'll even leave in open time a trip you specifically requested, to add injury to insult, when you have no conflicts, no training, vacation, general requests, anything.

And there is zero accountability. They generally ignore your emails or phone calls with requests to explain, but if you're lucky they will show you what they entered (with no explanation, advice, or reasons why you got mostly am out and backs and junior guys or open time got your specific requests).

But sometimes it works as it should. So? Flip of the dice. Contract enforcement is very little help. Ain't it great?

Pipe is pretty much correct. I have had VTOs for several years and some are perfect and others suck. Excuse after excuse when you see a junior guy with your trip. Union can't help and they (crew planners) have ZERO accountability.

This is why I will never trust the company with PBS.
