Do we have a ta on the way?
Sounds like we may be getting close.
|
Just because we may be down to one or two last items, doesn't necessarily mean we're "close".
|
"Having gotten several inquiries on the topic, I thought it best as your Council Chairman to engage in a bit of rumor control: There is no TA. Rest assured that when and if your MEC reaches a tentative agreement with the company you will be notified immediately."
Just saw this in my email from a block rep. |
Don't confuse a "TA" with a "our final and best offer".

Can pilots from companies OTHER than FDX get on this site?

If you are happy you're not allowed to post

In that case, just change the title "Cargo" forum to "FedEx".
I'd be ok with that. |

They have tried it in the past. The Cargo forum shrivels up quicker then Bill during a Hillary screech.

It's almost 5 o'clock Elvis.
I wonder if we will get our answer today, or if they will table the discussion until tomorrow. |

Answer given. MEC has TA to review
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
"After a briefing from the Negotiating Committee earlier today, the MEC passed the following resolution concerning contract negotiations:
Whereas, the MEC has received a full briefing concerning a mediation framework designed to lead to a tentative agreement, Whereas, the MEC has fully considered the merits of turning the mediation framework into a tentative agreement, Whereas, the MEC believes that the mediation framework represents an agreement in principle, Therefore be it resolved that the MEC instructs the Negotiating Committee to complete language related to the mediation framework so that the MEC may review it as a tentative agreement." Someone care to explain exactly what this means? Are we entering into mediation? Or do we already have a TA? |

Also, Frontseat wouldn't get to play guard nazi anymore since 99% of his posts, he can't figure out if the subject applies to him.

I think they prefer the term Guard Ranger. Front seat can be chief Thread Ranger.

I haven't heard any numbers yet on the contract?
|
Pay numbers I heard floating around over a month ago were 11% at signing, 3%, 3%, 3%, 2%. For me, that clearly isn't enough. Obviously, we need to wait and see the entire package before making any decision though.
Again, just rumors, but, those were the only "numbers" I had heard from multiple sources. |
I heard 18%, then 3% every year after.
11% will not get voted in unless big b-fund additive. That was from a DAL guy |

But seriously, 10% would be an insult. That is inflation only. Needs to be $310 an Hour for WB at 2015. Not 2021. So 17% MINIMUM!!!! |
3% per year may keep up with current inflation but that is probably going to change soon.
What it doesn't do is make up for all the years it didn't keep up! |
Gang all we can hope is our NC was not prepared to show our MEC anything but a TA that we would agree with. I haven't voted yes yet for any of our contracts, I really would like to vote yes this time! I don't believe in rumors (as I see a lot of now) so will just wait as not a whole lot more I can do.
|
Ok….I'm sorry but if you don't love Fred then you are working for the wrong company!

So, it sounds like we have a vote coming. Interesting the two senior blocks voted against.
|
If in fact senior blocks voted against it, more than likely so will I.
|
I forget, is block 11 the instructors?
