What / Who Changed?

The vote was 9-5 last week

10-4 this week

Who voted differently?

Why?

What changed?

Commando,

I think you are within the margin for error. +/-5%. I'd put money on it. I doubt there will be any single item that will rally the masses against. Giving up profit sharing was a very tangible and quantifiable issue that rallied the Delta pilots against.

I have not read it and am not saying I'd vote for it.

Can we not get some basic info on it from an official source? The silence is deafening.

If you follow closely what happened at Delta there were multiple issues with their TA --- the biggest of all was general.

Why are we giving concessions in a time of record profits, industry consolidation, low oil prices, high consumer demand & a pilot shortage..???

Additionally, their MEC made a very hard sell to the pilots, and painted a gloomy picture on what would happen if they voted it down

Yes --- members of their own MEC spoke directly in a very threatening manner

More specifically, they were going to give concessions not only on Profit Sharing, but also....

-Scope via Joint Ventures

-Sick Leave via 3rd Party Verification

- FO trips flown with LCAs for IOE

...and a few other areas

Basically, their pilot group stood up and said "no concessions" in this economic environment

Especially after giving up so much when they were threatened with bankruptcy

As always, the devil is in the details. Let's "hold our water" for the full language version of the TA...

We waited 4 + years for this. I mean other than raise and retirement BS it we'll still kinda sucks. I mean what did we get really? Simple math (we'll sort of) this gives us about a 3.3 % raise from amendable date? Does that make sense?

The SLAB explanation did't even explain what a SLAB is.
