I congratulate you on your vote. Really. I appreciate everyone that takes the time to come to their own decision and VOTE.

 

Voted no but not due to the retirement. Yes they can afford more, but that doesn't mean they will pay more. They froze almost everybody else's in 08, it's already more than most people in this country make when they are working, and although it would be awesome if it were at least indexed, it ain't going to happen. In fact, the only real risk in voting down this TA is that it will give the company another chance to come after it. I realize we would have to vote on the new TA, but who knows what will happen in the interim to make guys cave. Unlikely, but still worst case in my mind.

My personal line in the sand was the VTO reserve issue. Way too much QOL implications in there. I am not pleased with the health care changes either but those are going to come one way or another unless Obamacare is repealed, and that's not going to happen.

I could see this passing, but I am pretty disappointed in the TA, and I wasn't even expecting any A plan improvement. Other than the minimal pay increase it seems to me that all the gains were cost neutral to the company while the efficiencies gained by the company will eat our lunch in terms of QOL.
