FDX Which aircraft?
 

Any advice on which aircraft to pick when hired at FDX?

If you pick the 75/76, and then later fly the triple, all the FMS's will be almost identical.

The Airbus and MD FMS's are different.

Airbus and MD are slowly going away.

If you pick a wide body, you will make more money, but be more junior for longer. OK if you live in MEM, not as easy if you commute.

Go for the Maddog, anyone can fly a Boeing. ;)

The Airbus has the most day time flying and the fewest multi-leg trips. It is not going away anytime soon. Jumpseaters in the Airbus sit in the back, behind a locked cockpit door. Toilet is also in the back.

In a year or so, the Airbus will be the largest wide body fleet....

777 Captain without a doubt.

757 will be fastest route to holding a solid line and not having to rent a crashpad.

Not to mention the only guaranteed seat not to get excessed from.

757. Get seniority and avoid the inevitable excess bid.

Plus, when you finally bid the 777, everyone will be able to tell you came from the Bus without asking. :D;)
