FDX-DH Economy Upgrades
Just want to confirm that we're now allowed to expense "Economy Upgrades" to a "Economy Plus" (UAL) "Main Cabin Extra" (AAL), etc. in the new CBA.
P.S. When are we getting a clean CBA that doesn't have all the strike-throughs, edits, etc.? |
Since no one answered (what am I paying you guys for, anyway?) I had a chance to look in the CBA.
$40 is allowed per leg, $80 per deadhead segment. |
Actually we have always been able to expense economy upgrades if you had the bank money. Without looking at the contract, I know there is some new difference now.

I upgraded to economy plus on United all the time, if I had the bank money, prior to this contract. Haven't had to since then.
|
Yes. I believe this to be true, as long as you have had money in your bank. (Current practice) I think the new CBA will allow seat selection and upgrades to plus or comfort, up to $40 per leg and $80 per segment regardless of bank status. If I'm reading the CBA correctly that is.:)

yep, works like a charm, use "seat adjustment" on expense report...

So what is the thoughts about this:
You have a bunch of bank money, and the upgrade is $59 for the first leg and $89 for the second leg. Do we pay the difference? I thought this was a screw job in the contract because these upgrade prices are containing to rise but the contract is not protected from inflationary price increases. What say you? |

Well I'm not a captain, but any pilot from another airline who introduces himself to the cockpit can sit anywhere they want once the door closes.
