So, nine pages so far and 8 1/2 of them are a slapfight about who said what.

Back to the bid please?

First practice bid is tomorrow. I think we are going to see some pretty new guys getting left seats awarded.

How junior will the 777 left seat go?

Left seats in which airplane? Junior maybe in the 75 but I doubt any really junior guys are going to the left seat of a WB. Its a big bid but there are a lot of senior FO's who might make the jump on this one. With such large movement, it might be a while before the left seat opens regardless of the posting saying that there will be "robust" movement.

On a different note, I heard iarapilot and fedexlag buddy bid and are actually on the same trip ripping each other but don't know it!:)

LOL.

Yeah I was talking about 75 CA. But on the last bid MD-11 CA got down to 11-year guys. There will be a lot of senior FOs making the jump this time, but the Captain slots should still move on down the list.

I think 777 CA might get down to 15-year guys. Mid 400K employee numbers.

Other widebodies might get to under 10-year guys.

757 CA in Memphis? Take your pick, but it will be junior!

It definitely will be interesting.

Okay, I'm rooting for a newhire on probation to get a 757 Captain slot.

Yes!!!!!:D

Senior WB FO's making the jump.....That's like saying 700 guys are just waiting for the new contract before they retire. Most of those FO's have a reason for staying FO. I've flown with a few and the reason is quite obvious:rolleyes:

He can write his own probation report!

"Sharpest guy I have ever flown with. Should be an LCA."

Oh now, that's a good one!

Though I suppose even if a newhire got a Capt slot, since they'd be on the bottom of the list, they probably wouldn't go to upgrade training for another year or two. But still, I'm hoping for them.
