Exactly! And that's exactly why Trump's ideas, cannot and will not come to fruition. Regardless of how great they might be, he's alienated half his own party and the entire other party. Washington is about finding a middle ground. Nothing he suggests or demands, once he becomes president, would be implemented (imho.)

Clinton, if she doesn't get arrested and wins the presidency, will have the support of her party and even some of the other guys. As well, if she gets elected, I'd suspect that a number of republicans will be replaced by democrats, due mainly to their backing of Mr.Trump. That's not to say that she will get anything done either, but she'll have a better chance.

Anyway, that's how I see it. YMMV.

Boy, thanks. If you didn't like your TA outcome you are going to hate the election results.

Golden rule of elections: The first one to the center wins....

That's a good way to put it.

Your opinion is at least as valid as anyone else's at this point. But this is presidential politics. Reality in June has almost nothing to do with reality in November. Neither Clinton nor Trump enjoy the unanimous support of their party. Don't forget that Sanders is still winning primaries. But more importantly, the idea that anything good gets done in DC is exactly why guys like Trump and Sanders are in the political mix at all. And...back to the point of this thread, why guys like Fred Smith are the perfect antidote to our worthless professional political class whose most significant accomplishment in the last two decades is ringing up a $21 TRILLION dollar debt. F them all. This year I'm voting for every candidate on my ballot who has no more than two years of experience working in DC.

The election is months away, but I am giving Trump very little chance to win. I think it will be a landslide victory for Hillary. Too bad, because she looks extremely beatable now, but the Republicans have a complete baffoon as their nominee.. Oh well, maybe 2020..:

I'd say Fred Smith is way too smart to get involved with this...

Rock,

I believe that there are no more primaries left to be decided. The last one was in Washington D.C., yesterday. Ms. Clinton had a substantial win, garnering almost 80 percent of the votes, to Mr. Sanders 20 percent. As well, the democrats will certainly be united, due in large measure to Mr. Trump.

I don't disagree with your assessment of the situation in Washington, and as well, your feeling about Mr. Smith's qualifications, however, Mr. Smith has too much respect for himself (I believe), to ever want to be associated with Mr. Trump.

So by that logic, we should elect Trump... to ensure nothing gets done.

Everytime something "gets done" in DC, the people get screwed.
