Flexjet Layovers

Just curious if FX pilots enjoy nice layovers and hotels at times. Also if it is a fun place to work with cool crews...

Minimum rest every night then FBO rot, if you think holiday inn express is a “nice” hotel then you have low standards. Can’t get you nice hotels because KR has to pay for his shiny jet on your back.

I would say we stay at Hiltons 85% most of the time. Min rest probably averages 50% of the time. The average duty day is probably 11-12 hours.

Getting 9 hours of slleep once or twice a tour is fun for me.

You usually get into the hotel late and have to get up after 10 hours rest. If you have late morning flight they still put you on duty at 5:00 am to be a recovery aircraft incase someone breaks overnight so sleeping in is a treat.
Hotels are usually close to the airport so if you are at a cool place your are are your own to get into town.

80% Hiltons is not my experience more like 30% which is mainly Hampton inns by Hilton.

If you want fun layovers you should look to a traditional corporate job. Fractionals are just Uber drivers.

It is a vocation. Not a vacation.

At least that is what I am told.

Can't handle that I expose the truth and expose you and your lies? Are you still wearing out your kneepads at a record pace?
