I have been invited to interview in May.
I was sent a Lift FAQ and it says nothing about living within 90 minutes of base.
I live in San Antonio and would fly out of KDAL.
I’ll send a question to a recruiter.

I don’t believe the 90 minute rule applies to the Project Lift Program.

SAT is a base, so you definitely meet the 90 minute requirement (if there is one). During normal times you would airline in/out of SAT, but during "project lift" you will be given a rental car to drive to DAL.

How about PHX?

Yes PHX is a normal base and SDL is a Covid base

Wondering about current schedules for FX

Howdy. Been a while since I've run into a Flex pilot, but in the midst of the chaos one told me that trips were up in the ten day range. I'm guessing that varies by the metal one is flying. Was wondering what the new folks - Challenger, Legacy, Phenom - might expect in the near future.

You can choose between 7-14 day rotations. No one is forced to fly 10 days.

Bidding tips

so, for those that don’t really understand how to make bidding work for them, how can one best try to get only work 12 days or never have fewer than 7 consecutive days off? In a perfect world, working a bit less would ideal, but I haven’t cracked the code. Thanks!

Whether they tell you or not, this was my experience. The PBS works for you if you can get someone to show you the ways to do it. Many folks work 12 days and thats it. Not making that one up. I'd say that 70% of the corp doesn't fully understand how to bid. There is a way to make the system give you what you want. I never missed anything or worked a holiday or day I didn't want to. You can front load and or back load a month to where the system doesn't have a choice in the matter. You can "bid" for what you want and make the system give you what you need. Don't give it any options. There's a technique is all I am saying. I had a guy that sat me down and showed me how to bid. I learned a ton. I'd highly recommend you do the same.

Latest new hire class was split between those airframes fairly equally. 4 CL30 4 EMB505 and 2 EMB550. No rhyme or reason to those appointments apparently.

So first off, we have not been using PBS for over a year. Nobody has told us if it's coming back, and if so if it will the same. do you mean 12 days a month or 12 days at a time? we are now doing 16 days a month minimum.

If we assume that PBS comes back the same as before, from my experience working less was possible because there are plenty of people chasing the paycheck and asking for more days. Also if you don't care about weekends that is a big help. In the previous system, we had "green" lines and "yellow" lines (differences were total days in a month, trip length, and days off between trips) . Yellow were volunteer only, so it helps to bid on as may of those as you think you'd be happy with as the company can't give one unless you bid it.

There's a lot more than goes into bidding strategy, but it helps to have the website in front you of otherwise what people tell you here doesn't make a lot of sense./ And again, we don't even know if it's going to be the same system going forward. personally, I'd like to see 4 day trips being an option again.

For what it’s worth, I interviewed last week and was told to expect PL to be phased out early this fall and that the prior system will come back. Obviously, I was just an interview candidate and things can change, but just FYI.
