Default Addt'l FLOPS/Shares/Flex Furlough...

Heard that all three announced further furloughs today. Anyone know if this is true or just a rumor?

Flex,,60 out the door. Total furloughs since January is now 85.

Downgrading around 30 captains.

My opinion is Reid is just posturing the company to be a charter broker. Sell a ton of jet cards, and broker it out.

According to the guys on FlightInfo CS let 40 more go today (in addition to the 20 they already let go).

Turbulent waters lie ahead.

I dunno about that. Someone asked FR about the money in jet cards, and he said not much.

Could be. But even though we have planes parked, they have been chartering out, a couple times a week.

Owners have a limit of charter they can be put on, then the company pays a hefty penalty. I don't think the cards have such a provision.

If the company dumps 15 planes (60 crew/4per) how will they ever cover the trips without brokering? Owners will come first, the rest is sold.

I hope not, but I bet this is what you will see.

This keeps getting worst and worst. The wealthy people flying less, airlines reducing their capacity, fedex and ups showing less profits. It's bad all over, no safe haven
