Well, good and bad timing- fractional flying down 30-40%, less people buying shares, and the economy is a mess.... But lots of biz-jets parked, looking for a home, sort of a buyers' market outthere.

Hey Navajo31, how does it work when Flexjet owners need to go to Asia??? Can the Challenger 300 and/or 605 do something like LAX-Anchorage-Tokyo or Hong kong?? If I'm not mistaken, Anchorage to Tokyo is about 8 hrs; Anchorage-Hong Kong is about 10 hrs.

cheers

The theory I heard in the days BF (before furlough) was that Bombardier had a bunch of Global Expresses sitting around and Flex could probably get a really good lease price on them. But it was just idle speculation at FL 430, nothing more. Apparently AF (after furlough), the pres said he wants to diversify the fleet.

I never heard about much activity to Asia at Flex. Certainly not in the 300; TEB-Paris is a real stretch. I suppose the 604/5 could make it one stop - but who wants to stop ?

Peace, bro.

Heard from Flexjet pilot son, that the company is looking at them, but so far, just looking.

If Fred GREED has his way you will be flying CRJs (Challenger 850s). There are plenty of old CRJs sitting around (many that he actually ordered himself) and he can get some great deals... Enjoy those!

UCLA,
I'd take off about 1 1/2-2hrs off your ANC-NRT estimate and add that (minimum) to your ANC-HKG estimate. At least it used to take us about that long in the Maddog...
cheers
