Could one expect a possible interview with only instruction and single pilot single engine turbine. Military and internal rec. Minimal multi
|
Probably not. First, there are still 70 some odd people out on the street. Second, I believe the minimum time is 5,000++ hours for them to accept an application, and a good chunk of that needs to be multi time. I'm sure the minimum times are on their website.

Things are "busy" at Flex and this is what they are pulling? Just think of how it will get if/when things start to trend downward. Any chance this is helping motivate the pilot group to get a contract going at Flex? |

Minimums posted were 2500 tt 500 multi. And I'm talking a year or two from now when hiring is more stable. |

Yeah,, you are correct. I shot from the hip. What I do know is when I was hired everybody in my class had well over the 5,000 hr mark. So, I went with that.
I also mentioned going to the website for better info. So sue me. What I was trying to get across is that a low time guy is going to find it hard to get in. And he has to remember that there are still a lot of people to get back first. And that is going to take a few more years. |
Only 6 back after 2.5 years. 79 more on the street. That's 32.9 years' worth at current recall rate, but I bet a few drop out of consideration by then.

Recall rates do not/wil not follow any sort of "average" over a period of time. It is almost always feast or famine. It will not work out to 32.9 years. The company hasn't even been in business half that long. Anyone who has been in the business for more than a decade will realize that at some point business will be booming again, and all these fractionals will be behind in staffing..again.. Different model, same results (airline vs. fractional). |
Long time since I've heard anything with Flex how are things going there?
