Global Pilot Academy
Hi Everyone,
New to the Forums here! To give everyone a quick run-down, i am 25 years old currently working full-time in a career i have no interest in spending a lifetime in. Like many here, my life's dream is to become an airline pilot. A little under a year ago i passed my First-Class medical and began flight training at a local FBO, i got about 10 hours of flight time in before finances started getting tight and had to take a break in order to pay the bills. I have decided that the only way to truly devote my full attention to flight training is by taking out a loan and training full-time. I have looked into ATP (came very close to pulling the trigger) until i realized i would be shelling out over $700 a month for the loan. I currently reside in St. Louis however will likely need to re-locate as none of my local FBO's offer financing outside of AOPA and Pilot Finance. I found a school in Tampa Called Global Pilot Academy which seems to have very reasonable rates for zero time to CFII. Does anyone have any experience with them by chance? Thanks! |

Another good option with reasonable financing costs could be Tarrant County College out Alliance Airport in Ft. Worth, TX. Its a two year degree program so you get access to regular student loans.
