Default Global Pilot Academy

Hi Everyone,

New to the Forums here! To give everyone a quick run-down, i am 25 years old currently working full-time in a career i have no interest in spending a lifetime in. Like many here, my life's dream is to become an airline pilot. A little under a year ago i passed my First-Class medical and began flight training at a local FBO, i got about 10 hours of flight time in before finances started getting tight and had to take a break in order to pay the bills.

I have decided that the only way to truly devote my full attention to flight training is by taking out a loan and training full-time. I have looked into ATP (came very close to pulling the trigger) until i realized i would be shelling out over $700 a month for the loan. I currently reside in St. Louis however will likely need to re-locate as none of my local FBO's offer financing outside of AOPA and Pilot Finance. I found a school in Tampa Called Global Pilot Academy which seems to have very reasonable rates for zero time to CFII. Does anyone have any experience with them by chance?

Thanks!

Another good option with reasonable financing costs could be Tarrant County College out Alliance Airport in Ft. Worth, TX. Its a two year degree program so you get access to regular student loans.

I did my CSEL there, granted it was before several changes. If you're wanting to move to Tampa, check out Superior Aviation Gateway also at VDF and see which one of the two you like more. Personally, I would probably go to SAG.
