CFI Initial. Oral was maybe an hour, was more of the examiner lecturing on how to be a CFI than asking me questions. Flight was .9 - featured an 8 on pylons and 4 landings. Couldn't ask for anything simpler.

My CFI ride was the easiest as well, although it wasn't as easy as mjarosez'. Did you take it with the FAA or a FDE? My friend had a six-hour ground and a 1.4 flight. Not to mention that he was ramp checked on arrival to the FSDO. Sounds like we had it easy.

Instrument Instructor. The examiner flew the whole time and really didn't ask me to teach him anything.... i think he was just happy to be flying an airplane

MEI, was asked one question on the oral and the DPE did the flying. Other than keeping the DPE from killing me, and keeping my cool so I didn't kill him, it was a waste of a day.

Had my ride with a DPE...the FAA couldn't fit me in for a month so they gave me a waiver. It paid for itself very very well.

CFI-I was a cake-walk.
