Which checkride was your easiest?...

I took my MEI checkride today and it was by far the easiest I've done. It was almost a joke considering the previous few rides. Oral was like 1.5 and flight was 1.1. DPE did most of the flying and I think he just wanted to fly and screw around. Didn't even do a drag demo...

As bizzare as this sounds my easiest checkride was for my CFI certificate.

Commercial was my easiest. 45 minute oral and 1 hour flight with a diversion, lazy eight, eights on pylons, steep turns, slow flight, and then came back to land. Now I'm working on my CFI and I'm not that excited about a checkride with the FAA.

I was the same way but I really lucked out and got a really cool inspector who was easy going. I did my CFII initial with him. Asked maybe 10 question on FOI and that was it. Didn't get into anything to deep. Oral was about 3.5 and flight was 2.5 but I busted on one thing and had to retest.

I think my MEI will be the easiest, since it's the same DPE that gave me my Multi to begin with. Currently though, the easiest was Instrument. I had a half hour oral, and a 1.5 flight. The DPE teaches at the university and was running late. I had an A in the class so he had me brief the approaches, a couple other questions, then we flew the approaches.

my multi was the easiest.

My second type rating was hands down the easiest training and checkride event I've ever had.

For me, the private was the easiest. I started when I was 13 though, so I had spent 4 years working on the same stuff over and over...I went into the checkride very confident, nervous of course, but after meeting the DPE prior to the checkride and realizing he was just another pilot who loved to fly I calmed down rather quickly. The oral was more or less of a conversation, laid back...he wanted to teach me, as much as pass me. I would highly recommend him, and would take a checkride with him anyday. Very fair guy.

The multi was pretty easy too, as long as you knew procedures well. The DE for that didn't care about the oral, he just wanted to see you could fly the thing. He was also very real world with his scenarios...if you were here, and this happened, what would you do. One of those that makes you think, v. "what does 'Vmc' stand for?"

My CFII ride has been the easiest so far, I have my MEI ride this friday, hopefully I can then say that was the easiest. ;)

I would say Instrument. It was a simple oral and the flight was very fun. I guess it also has to do with feeling comfortable with your DPE. Commercial was pretty easy too though.
