Default Good flight instructor near Orlando

I haven’t flown much in a few years, but would like to get back into it. I’d like to go through the instrument rating course again. My preference would be an older instructor, very knowledgeable, and one who can teach well. If possible, I’d like an instructor with an airline background, since I’m trying to go back to airline flying. I live about 45 min. NW of Orlando. Thank you for any leads.

I talked to Ron, and he doesn’t have an airplane to use. Anybody else you’d recommend?

If you are willing to travel to Flagler County, north of Daytona, Teens in Flight has multiple retired ATP Instructors.

Is there a stipulation to go through a "school", or can I simply rent a plane somewhere (or buy my own) and use any licensed CFI that I want?

When searching for an instructor, if you don't have any local contacts (asking here was a good idea obviously), I always recommend calling a few of the local examiners. Just use the FAA search utility.
It will help you figure out who you want to use for your check and the examiners always know who the good instructors are.
