Talking Private Pilot Certficate

How long does it take to get your permanent pilot certficate? I have had my temporary one since April 25, 2007.

Thanks!

It will take about 3 months. Seems like in the past few years the FAA has gotten better about processing certificates. When I got my PPL a few years ago it took about 110 days to get the permanent certificate.

http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certific...certification/

Top of that website has the updates as to which temporary certs they are processing...if you are getting close to your 120 limitation call up the FSDO.

When I first started, it took right around 100-110 days. Obviously as mentioned, if you're approaching 120 you need to contact the DPE that gave you the check-ride. Should be any day now that you get your shiny new ticket.

I have recieved my certificates anywhere from 2 1/2 months to 3 weeks. From what I've gathered they tend to get more busy during the summer moths so it may take longer.

Will the postal service automatically forward it? I had to move the day after taking my checkride (and passing!) or do I need to call Oklahoma City? I can't update my info on the FAA website, because I don't have my regular ID number (just the temporary certificate).
