however this is a LIE. you will spend more than that to go from private to comm. ground school alone is $2000 each. even the "salesmen" there will tell you it costs more than that and they underestimate the cost.
Im not saying its not a very good school but you pay for what u get (or you get what u pay for, im backwords )

I went to both schools DCA and ATP. Both of them are totally different, granted you get the same ratings, but not the same education or price. At DCA you will get probably the best education, however if your looking to buy a house in the future, think again. It will probably cost you closer to 100,000 now and when those new Cirrus planes come on line in a couple of months, it will go up easily 20,000 more, don't believe me I still live right down the street and hang out with lots of instructors there everyday. At ATP you won't get the best education, but you will get the best price. Its not as well developed because it is a part 61 school but you'll get done in a fairly cheap manner. My advice is to make sure that whichever school you go to, your instructor is the key. I've gone to 4 different flight schools and whether it is a good school or not, as long as your instructor isn't a douche, you'll be fine, if you do go to ATP I'll be instructing there soon and if you see me there let me know how I'm doing I really want to make sure that all my students get the best education and I will work my butt off for them. GOOD LUCK!!

DCA works for people that have no other commitments other than flying. If so, you will get done quickly, if not you will spend a lot of money
