I wouldn't argue with that. Sim is clearly not flight. My peeve is the complexity of the regs related to fight experience, particularly within the commercial reg. FAR 61.51 details how it expects simulator time to be logged, so it does expect that it will be documented and have its own, separate column. That total time, alluded to in 61.159 is not a discreet column is just another potential ”gottacha” that any pilot could make clerical errors, which may not reflect on the airmanship of the applicant but would on their attention to (clerical) detail.
