Default Bad weather the sequal, in Texas.

I was suppose to do my second cross country today, so I had all my flight planning done, and then I called the weather briefer, and learned that It's going to be marginal VFR, and in some places visiblity less than 3 miles. So I decided not to fly today. Sunday is looking good with only 20 percent chance of rain, so I'm flying Sunday. I plan on taking some inflight videos. Just thought everybody like to know. Happy flying.

I'm in Fort Hood, Killeen, Temple area. I'm in the Army, so I don't have much choice. It's not bad weather all the time, it's nice when I'm at work. But when I want to play, it's IFR conditions. Waiting for Sunday.

Tell me about it guys,

fellow Aviator in Lubbock.......and its been horrible lately! This can be a good thing though. With all these variations in weather conditions, its a good way for us to experience different situational flying conditions..........

that being said, it still is a bummer when your all ready to go, and you have to cancel due to weather

Doesn't sound good. I'm doing my CFI in Addison starting Aug 9. Watch my checkride day get rained out and stormed on.

actually to tell the truth.......ever since Ive posted, the weather has been great! The only stuff Ive noticed are isolated systems to the southeast......yesterday there was a pretty big area of convective activity about 80NM SE of Lubbock extending all the way down to the Midland/Odessa Area.

FL600......your in the DFW area? Where are you training?
