Default Question for CFI

Do you have to log your ground instructions given? or is this an optional thing? If you do log it, does it have to be in students logbook or can it just be a paper record that Student or CFI can hold?

thanks!

Students are responsible for maintaining a record of ground training. It's outlined in pt 61. Most logbooks have a couple pages in the back for logging ground instruction.

If you're from a 141 (as I am) background you may not be familiar with this because the grad. certificate from whatever approved course you took basically superseeds this due to the fact that the feds have approved the syllabus and all requirements are met.
