Best fast initial CFI school?
I was considering ATP for my CFI, but now the door is closed for those like myself. I am currently working for a big company that is down-sizing the location I work at, and am awaiting a seperation package (March 2008?). I have been saving vacation to go do my CFI initial in a 30 day time frame sometime around December 1st-ish. I have apx 280hrs, CME but no CSE (trained at the aviator and only flew BE-76s). Any suggestions? I really need a school that can accomidate the 30 days I'll be limited to. I will have my writtens done soon, before I go.

30 days should be long enough for any school to produce a CFI. In your case I'd want a firm commitment that they could deliver on your time line, but I don't see a need to attend a pilot mill.
Good Luck and remember that 90% of the CFI rating is bookwork so you can set started NOW. The rest is flying to Comm. standards from the right seat and talking. Have fun with the training, although don't expect to be spoon-fed if your looking to finish in 30 days.

Has anyone been to this fellow in Florida? Darren Smith. He has a two week school that sounds good. I am not sure if he is planning any more sessions, or if he even has one in the winter, but it sounds professional. If you are going to get your CFI initial you will need a spin endorsement in addition to the CSEL; there are a number of people offering those, and make sure you get it within 90 days of going for your checkride.

Not at all. You have to do the same maneuvers in the same airplane. The only difference is that you're teaching it and in the right seat. You might even want to see about the possibility of doing the Single engine add-on from the right seat. It would be very easy to only train for the CFI and take the SEL add-on as preparation for the CFI.

Any specefic feedback about Sheble? I just found out about these guys the other day, I have visited the web site (http://www.shebleaviation.com/)
but would love to hear about first hand experiences. The only thing I have heard so far has been about supposed equipment issues. Any feedback would be welcome.
