If you get a minute, could you describe the test for me, thanks.
I came in at 8 and the examiner had me plan out a cross country, then we went over all the planning and he started asking me about certificates, medicals, recency of experience, airspace, there were more but i think you get the picture. Then we went out and started preflighting and the whole time he was asking stuff about the plane like explain how stuff works, then we moved onto the flight, took off and started flying what i had planned, he asked me stuff like where are we, whats that road, etc. then he had me divert to another airport, do a ground speed check, then we diverted agian which brought us to the practice area.....Did MCA, PWR ON, PWR OFF stalls, S-turns, then he simulated an emergency (Engine out), i picked the field..went thru all the steps yada yada, then he was like take us back to the homefield, did a full stop short field landing and that was about it! altogether about 1.2 hrs.....Then ofcourse we went thru a de-brief and he passed me! Just study everything you've been taught.

......and for the person who was curious how much it all costed me, 1st it was a 141 school for Central Texas College, tuition was like 3300-3400. Its a really good program and very affordable.

I don't like the sound of naming roads. The are too many interstates around KBED, and it's difficult (for me) to keep them straight.

It wasnt so much giving the exact names, rather it was like he pointed at a road and asked if i could find it on the sectional....My guess is he wanted to know if i knew where i was on the sectional and not getting lost.....I dunno...it wasnt too hard....

thats exactly what he wanted to know, if you could plan a X-country and follow it by locating where you are in reference to the ground and your sectional..congrats on your ppl..your officially an aviator!

for planespotta~ locate the highways (which will be easier to spot) and most importantly which direction they're going that will help determine which ones they are.
