Yep, like I said, if you decide to teach for any of those schools, stick with it until you are in a decent financial position to take the pay cut.

This is something new that ATP has started, I joined ATP back in June when the price was lower and the RJ course was not included, and I think that the offer for the RJ program was for students that worked for ATP before the price change but im not sure...If anyone knows please let me know... I know for a fact that ACPP students do get paid more by ATP, and I feel that they need to change this because it is unfair for those that didn't go to school here. Also my last comment about people not being happy about salaries and workplace...I didn't not mean to offend or upset anyone I was just trying to point out that there are still some good things about the workplace and to try and look on the bright side of things. At least flying is still fun and although the money isn't as great its better than other jobs because you get to travel, have time off, and get a great office view!!! |

Does anyone here seem offended or upset? |

Does anyone here seem offended or upset? To me no one seemed to be upset by my comment but I've noticed that at times these forums tend to get a little heated and myself being relatively new to airlinepilotcentral thought it best that I let everyone know that I meant nothing negative by that comment...I enjoy reading these forums and would like to participate in them more but at the same time I don't want to burn any bridges by upsetting anyone.... |

True. 35k isn't that decent but certainly easier to live on than 18k. But when you can go to some of these school advertising the mid 40's to low 50's to teach, why not?
Each person's situation will vary and no two are exactly alike. Good points though. Cheers! Take care and try not to work too hard! CD |
I think it's a great idea... but it doesn't say anything about minimums? anyone know? I'm just living at home being bored out of my mind, what better to do than move out to florida w/ free housing, build time, and get a free crj certification plus make a little something on the side?
everyone says training @ atp might not be the best idea, but i haven't really heard anything bad about instructing for them? |
all my instructors at atp have liked the flight hours that they get,, but you get worked to the ground... they are at the airport usually from about 7am to super late at night and i catch them napping on the couches at the school between flights (kumu aka the flyn hawaiian is known for this, and he gets punked all the time while he is trying to sleep haha) ... anyways atp is pretty chill tho but be ready to work a ton !
