-Can someone explain Expected further clearance time incase of loss communications. I read ASA instrument text and oral exam guide and it's not too clear to me.
-VOR will have correct sensing when going to the VOR with TO indication and correct sensing when going away from VOR with FROM indication. If not, I will get a reverse sensing. How is HSI different when it comes to correct and reverse sensing to that of VOR?
Thank you!

1. Expect further clearance means what it says. They tell you the time you should expect your next clearance. Sometimes ATC will tell you to expect another altitude, route, or approach before they actually clear you for it. If your radio failed, you would factor that expected clearance into your next move. For example, if you were told to expect an approach, you should wait (hold) at the clearance limit until the EFC time and then shoot the approach.
2. An HSI never gets reverse sensing when tuned to a VOR....NEVER, EVER. Simple as that.
