ERAU tuition now?? Current Cost??

Hey one of you suckers at Riddle...... fill us in on how much tutition is a semester right now?? I was talking with another grad from '88 (he said it was around 3000 a semester) and I graduated in '03-DB (I want to say it was about 7,500 a semester). But apparently it is over $$$15,000 a semester now for the new class?! That cant possibly be right... who in their right mind would even.... ?!!!!

So what is tuition now? Base tuition per one semester.

Shows tuition as $12700 per semester for a block of 12-16 credit hours. Per credit hour is $1060.

Add flying cost of around 10-15K year, plus room/board. You are looking to around 45K@year. For CFIs is another story (I got 10K grant for being a part time CFI) so with no fly course left Im looking to 7K semester.-=== I pay my room/board with what I make instructing.

For any newbie....who wants to go to Riddle......go community college first 2 years to knock out all general classes and get up to @ least your commercial rating outside, then get your CFI in ERAU and with luck they might still have the 10K grant for part timers when u get here.

Like this u'll save 2 years of costs and still get the same education/opportunities/diploma from ERAU.

All full time IP's receive 6 credit hours comp'd a semester and 25% off of rentals.

Sad thing is you'd be better off going to a local mom-and-pop flight school and getting a quick degree at your nearest community college.

Wasted money.

I finished in Fall of '87. The cost then was approx $1800-2300 per semester. It all depended on if you lived in Dorm I or II; or Apt Cmplx I or II. Also, which meal plan. There was the 10-day; 15-day; and 19-day meal plans. Initially I got a meal plan...then I got smart....I got a job working in the cafeteria :D. The food company then was Epicure.

Im "paying" $9,000 per semester, not including flight cost. Started Fall 2004/ Graduating Fall 2008.

When I was there (prescott late '80s early '90s) it wasn't too difficult to get an on-campus job that came with a tuition waiver. (not including books, fees, and flight of course)

I got lucky with the flight training. Fixed rate $21K from zero time to ME Comm for freshman starting in 1997. Didn't matter how much we flew or how much oral time was fudged by the IP's we paid one price. I think that only went on for a few years and then the University realized students were flying way more than the syllabus and they were losing quite a bit of money.
