The instrument is not easy....Commercial is fun and will be a well deserved break for you.

Great job! It's a great feeling, isn't it? Just don't go off flying down to mins in IMC just because you have the rating to do so. You don't yet have the experience. Fly in some light IMC to get used to it, then as your Actual time builds, you can start decreasing your wx mins.

Enjoy the break!

Just wondering....Can you tell me what all the PPL checkride is about?
Haven't taken PPL yet. Do you have to know alot of stuff? Is it hard?
Thanks

The standards to be shown to an examiner to obtain a private pilot certificate are listed in the Practical Test Standards, here.

A few weeks before your checkride you should be familiar with these standards and be able to acheive them.

They are not that hard, and are designed to make sure you are able to exercise adequate control of the aircraft for your and others safety.
