So then your certificates must say "Restriction: Earned at OSU, not quite as good as ERAU".

lol if you saw our flight department you would proably think that would be on the cirtificate.......its not that were a bad school, it just that our professors usually are CFI's who hate there jobs and dont put much effort into teaching classes.... (one question on my last final exam "how many ounces of beer are in a standard 6 pack") this was in aviation weather class btw:cool: at least i will have the piece of paper that says i have a B.S. in B.S.

Well that sort of relates to weather in that...if you drink a six pack before a flight then 6 x 12 = the number of ounces that must eventually be expelled. Depending on the facilities available to you, it could be out the window in the form of rain:D

Just got the word $221 per credit hour for the Embry-Riddle online degree.

Fly Boy 2 03-04-2008 02:28 PM

Dont, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!

Embry Riddle isn't worth the price. If you go to G;)oogle, and check the reviews from other students that attended Embry, They will happily tell you,
1. It's not worth the price.
2. The Aeronautical program isn't that good.
3. Daytona Beach is LAME! NO SOCIAL LIFE!!
4. If your single an dating, consider this, the male to female ratio is somewhere like 4 to 1.

Just about every State University has a Science program, which includes Aviation. Just do more research, and you'll be happy in the end. You may think that if you have the top education, and pay top dollar, that it will give you an advantage when, or if you get to the airlines, but that's not the case. It's all about senority. Every starts out at the bottom. Basically what I;m trying to say is, save around 60,000 and find a good Cheap college. Embry Riddle isn't worth it.

I graduated from there in 1990. The tuition there now is outrageous. It was high then but somewhat affordable for me because my parents helped me out. Having a father who flew for Pan Am didn't hurt either! I'm not sure either if I would go there now if I was in high school and deciding what school to go to. But, I can say that I have absolutely no regrets.

If my own opinion, ERAU is just like any other school. You get out of it what you put into it. Of course, good luck with paying those tuition bills!

Any aviation degree is as good as the other. I went to UND, nice school and not as overpriced as ERAU. If you get in state tuition - live there for one year - its acutally very cheap compared to others. On the down side it is in North Dakota, very cold and not much to do. Look at it this way though, in four years you will have a degree and more money in you pocket to pay for that crashpad!!!
