Default Not sure

Im not sure about that particular flight school, I am in the same boat as you are. I was looking at www.nationalpilotacademy.com . I asked the same question on here as you, I really didnt get any advice, cause no one has heard of it(NPA) I looked into Air Safety and it looked alright to me, but like I said, I am in the same boat. I have a couple of friends that went to Flight Saftey in Vero Beach,FL. They had nothing but good things to say about FSA,however, its expensive. I know I am not much help to your question, but you are not alone. I need the same answers as you do.

If you are looking at schools in the phoenix area, why not look at Pan Am as well. I think you'll find the campus better set up for flight training. Not sure what type of training you are looking for or budget you have. Good Luck!

Default AirSafety

I currently attend this school. Flying the Cirrus has been fun and exciting. At a price the other schools cannot beat! ****word of advise**** The owner is a salesman. Have him put everything in writing that he guarentees you. He will do it. No other school in the valley can touch his prices for the type of aircraft you fly and the quality of training you recieve.

Not tryin to start a battle here. I'm just curious as to what Air Safety might be promissing someone to feel like you have to have it in writing? If its part 141 training, Its been approved by the FAA. If its Part 61, just read it in the FAR/AIM. If you read this or any other forum, its no secret how you get to the right seat of a regional. In my opinion there are a lot of great schools out there and all produce regional airline pilots. Its all about the individual and his/her commitment to the training. If you feel that you need to pay a little extra and train in the Cirrus and thats going to be the big kicker to launch your career into a regional. Don't believe it. I am only assuming that the goal is to go regional though. Again, not tryin to start a battle. Just curious

Can you give me a for instance in regards to having things put in writing. Just an example.

By looking at the program it allows me to go to a school where I fly brand new complex aircraft for several thousands less then what i would get from say a school like Flight Safety. And to tell you the truth I haven't even decide on whether or not I want to go airline. I have considered maybe just instrucing "Am a history teacher currently" or maybe just flying for some air taxi right out of school. I am not looking to race into the right seat right out of school so we'll see. Take care and thanks for any more potential advice.

I heard Air Safety just got asked to sit on the panel and present at next month's Natl. Aviation Training Symposium in Florida. I know this is a pretty special thing.
