Multi Add Question
ok heres my question ... I've had a private pilot multi engine land w/ instrument for about 2 years now and I just finished my single engine commercial w/ instrument. So my question is about my multi add on to my commercial. I've heard about 10 different things from various cfi's. Does any one know what the test is for the multi add on to commercial? Shouldn't it be just a few prep hours and then a couple commercial manuevers and finish w/ an approach? Since I already have my private multi instrument? yes no maybe? Any help would be much appreciated

Consult the PTS and you will have the answer. I recall doing stalls, vmc demo, an engine out instrument approach or two, engine restart, short and soft fields etc. Try the search function on APC also. Questions on this come up every week.

Yes, look at the chart in the PTS, it has been a bit, but I recall the Private multi being just a bunch of maneuvers, and the Multi Commercial went back to Dead reckoning and all the maneuvers of course to commercial standards.

Vmc demo, steep turns, stalls, possibly slowflight, an instrument approach (if you have the IR and want inst. priveleges) which is usually flown with one engine, engine kills at cruise, takeoff, and in the pattern. That's what my students get almost every time.
