Default ICAO PIC Mins. and IACRA

I have decided to use my furlough unwisely and sink even more money into a dead-end career by self-sponsoring my ATP to make myself "look" more employable. Back when I was an instructor I used IACRA quite a bit, so I am familiar with its quirks. I recently tried to fill out the 8710 online, but when I entered all my aero. experience it said I did not meet the ICAO PIC mins. The problem was with the x-country time; all the other requirements are fine. I have close to 1500hrs of cross country, but only 400 or so is PIC XC. I read the FAR's as saying that a pilot needs 500hrs of XC- regardles of PIC or SIC. Am I correct or have I totally missed the point? Any thoughts or help?

I hate to say it, but call the help desk.

I'm sure you've had experience with them before...but probably the only help desk left in the world where you get a person right away, they speak english, and are genuinely helpful

I am not aware of an ICAO requirement that your XC be PIC...

You do need 1200 hours of PIC for an ICAO, but only 250 PIC for a US-only ATP. Are you short the 1200 PIC?

I called the help desk, but they were unsure because it was a regulatory issue. As far as the PIC... I do not have 1200 PIC, but that is not the problem. When I changed the flight matrix to reflect 500 XC pic, it went through fine. The problem is that the program interprets the FAR's as saying a pilot needs 500 XC PIC rather than what the FAR actually states- 500 XC.

Nevermind, but thanks for all the help. After reading your post, Rick, I started to second guess myself, but when I logged back in to IACRA they had sorted it all out.
