Default CFI Resume

For everyone that is a low timer and a CFI like myself, I was wondering if you guys could give me hints on how to make a good Pilot Resume. I was using the Resume on the site, but I thought it looked kinda bad after I got through with it. I have made Resumes before, but never for a flying job and I think they would look a bit different. What type of experience do I include in my short flying experiance? Actual Inst.? Total Inst.? Your help in this would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.

In terms of which types of flight time to list, you want to put the most important first. The order in which I list are: TT, PIC, ME, Instrument, Actual, X-C, Night, Dual Given. You want to show a diversity of experience. You also want to tailor to the type of job that you are applying for. Make sure you list all the times that they want to know. If its for an airline, Dual given may not be the most important number.

If you are still low time and have an aviation degree, maybe emphasize some of the important classes you have taken. Information they would consider valuable: Turbine systems, CRM training, Aviation safety, Aerodynamics. These kinds of things show that you bring more to the table than just ratings and hours.

If you'd like, send me a PM and I'll send you my resume that has seemed to have worked a couple times...it'll be a Word document so an email would probably word better.
