If you live near a military base look into ERAU's extended campus. You can do take home courses, attend actual classes, and now I think online too(didn't exist back then). I did it about 10 years ago and the semesters were only 8 weeks long and they offered 6 periods a year. I was able to earn 18 credits over a normal college semester length while only actually taking 3 courses at a time. They also had an agreement with some of the local community colleges that allowed you to take core classes like economics, history, etc. It was cheaper than the regular riddle classes. Also, when I hit 1000 pic, I received 36 credit hours for my flying experience(I was rated thru MEI at the time). This allowed me to fly full-time and still finish in 4 years.

i live in virginia close to IAD. I don't think there is any military base close by except norfolk and thats too far. And i need to keep my job to earn money to afford flying. I think im gonna go to college and try to get degree on easy major and keep flying in loccal FBO. I think that's what u'll would do right? If anyone has better option for me i'd be glad to hear.
thank you all for your help.

ERAU at Andrews AFB

This is a bit of a hike from Dulles/Herndon but it might work out for ya. I think Hampton University is somewhere near DC too, and they have an aviation program.

Good luck!

There should be all kinds of extended-campus type operations in the DC area.
