He was OK on the approach, he just forgot to kick it over in the flare.

Exactly! and I beleive from what little Spanish I know is that the winds were between 30 and 37 and gusting to around 51-54 .
Nailing biting for the pax I would reckon.

It really bothers me when people do the "Monday morning quarterbacking" after an accident, or incident, I have 0 tolerance for that...But nobody got hurt or violated on this one, so I'll answer Dynasty's question.

Personally, I'd go around or call a go around (if the NFP) when things started to get interesting there in ground effect.. I disagree with Rickair7777's coment about "being OK on the approach". That approach looked very unstable to me, at one point he was at a 45 angle over the runway.

But then again, here, confortable, drinking a cup of starbucks, I'm thinking clearly... Flying the airplane, in the heat of battle, well that's another story.
