Sic - Pic
I am wanting to start looking for a new job. However, Most international carriers require an ATPL. Does anyone know what it takes to convert a SIC type to a PIC type/ATPL. Thanks for the info.

24k for a lousy 145 type. thats highway robbery. I got my ATP written knocked out before I was hired by uncle HK. However, that was years ago. I know that the one year restriction does not apply while working for a 121 carrier. Does that apply if you get your ATP outside of your carrier?

Out in town you need a current written, period. |
If all you need is an ATP, you can knock that out for $1,500. If they want you to be PIC typed in a turbine, don't pay for it yourself. not worth the $$$...

Anybody know what happens if you complete the ATP written prior to going to a 121 carrier and you get furloughed? Does the two year clock still apply or not?

As far as I know yes it does.
