ATC/Pilot Communication . . . .
I am currently training pilots and air traiffic controllers aviation English--both ICAO and FAA standard phraseology as well as plain English used in communicating situations when those phraseologies don't exist. In other words, I need to be able to give air traffic controllers the phrases they will need to know to HELP YOU when you need help. At the same time, it would include phrases that would help pilots who are non-native speaker of English to communicate with controllers and other pilots SAFELY.
I'D GREALY APPRECIATE ANY HELP YOU can pass my way if it is only ONE single phrase that YOU might need.
In particular, I need a simple, plain English phrase that a controller or pilot might use in requesting information or giving information in unusual situations. Here are just a few I could mention now:
belly landing, attempted manoeuvres, visual check (low pass), position of landing gear, etc.; weather conditions (lightning, snow clearing, gusts, windshear and microburst, tailwind, crosswind, turbulence, etc.
cargo problems customs; type of cago; perishable organ for transplant; toxic substance; handling; packaging; veterinary services; police search; sniffer dogs; load badly fixed or damaged; impounding;
aircraft breakedowns controls and instruments; pilots actions/behaviour; damage; abort; overheating; problems with steering gear; engine power; aircraft breakdown; mechanical failure; noises; odors; smoke; engine performance; warning lights; airframe, etc.
health problem symptoms; first aid; aircraft interior; type of medical assistance needed; diversion; ground services; wounds; medical equipment; etc.
ANY others are appreciated and welcome!!
REMEMBER: Any SINGLE phrase or communication you think it is important will be valuable to everyone.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!
**If you, yourself, need help with your English in communicating on the job, please let ME know, and I will work with you in every way to help YOU!
