I'm certainly not bashing state colleges. Anyone that doesn't get a non aviation related degree from a four year university is taking a huge gamble (read as making mistake).
I don't know anything about the veracity of the data on that site, only that it may help answer some noob questions...

Okay so here is my thing....my wife = human resource manager which means she hires people and sees hundreds of resumes, works for a non aviation company, and says it doesnt matter what degree you have, just that you have one. So for all those who say that getting an aviation degree is stupid, learn the facts. And for those trying to make a decision, find a source, not a pilot.

I'm not saying an aviation degree is stupid. I'm just saying that ideally, for insurance, it might be a good idea to pick up some skills that aren't aviation related. Of course, this takes time and money away from pursuit of a flying career.
Either way, risk not, gain not...

Hmm we aren't included in there. We have more multi hours than ATP, no sim time, and hmm it's 17K cheaper. Interesting.
Aviation degrees aren't stupid, if you have a planned backup that doesn't require a bachelors degree. I have a degree in a non aviation related field, and I have zero regrets. I'm in a GREAT position should I ever lose my medical. I'd be kinda stuck with an aviation degree...not too much left to do there that I'd still be interested in that doesn't require a degree. It's all up to the person though.
