Default Commercial ASEL Addition

Just want to make sure I'm reading the PTS correctly. If you're adding a single engine land to your Commercial MEL certificate, you don't need a complex aircraft. Is that statement correct?

"Aircraft and Equipment Required for the Practical Test - ...be a complex aircraft, unless the applicant currently holds a commercial pilot certificate with a single-engine or multiengine class rating as appropriate, for the performance of takeoffs, landings, and appropriate emergency procedures."

Yup. At Daniel Webster we would do the C-SEL in a C-172 and our C-MEL in a PA-44.
