Go to college. Enjoy the college life, (parties, women, parties, women, etc...). The key is to enjoy life while at the same time enjoy growing up. You can go to a college that offers ROTC. There you will find that it is a half and half dose of civilian life and a little kick of the military life. you will do drills and such, but you will also be able to enjoy the whole college experience. In the summers, you will usually work on your chosen career field and toward the end of your college life, take tests to get placed in a pilot slot. This way, all of your eggs are not in one basket, you will always have an out. by the way, during the summer when you are working on your potential career field, that includes taking flight lessons. Anyhow, that is my take, and it will be alot cheaper route to pursue.

P.S. The key to successfully enoying the college experience mentioned above ie: parties, women....Well, get your d#$m work done first at all cost!!!!! Ignore the peer pressures, the headaches, etc. Do your work first and then, well, have at it..
